Speech Language Pathologist Assistants

What is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant?

Our Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) play a vital role in supporting students’ communication and language development. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), SLPAs provide direct speech therapy services as outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).

SLPAs work hands-on with students to help improve their speech, language, and communication skills through engaging and individualized therapy sessions. They collect data on student progress, assist with documentation, and complete Medicaid billing as required. SLPAs also collaborate closely with their supervising SLP to implement therapy plans, prepare materials, and carry out other supportive tasks that enhance the effectiveness of speech and language services.

Through their teamwork, dedication, and expertise, our SLPAs help ensure every student receives high-quality, consistent, and compassionate speech therapy services.
